Following are the technical specifications for iShip:

System Overview

Enterprise class, Web-based system
Software as a Service model
All information, transactions, and reports managed through iShip, Inc. Data Center
Manages negotiated carrier rates; published carrier rates maintained by iShip, Inc.
iShip, Inc. Data Center operations:
- Are environmentally controlled and monitored physical co-location with 24/7 security
- Have centralized administration and automated monitoring
- Have multiple DS3 feeds and Internet Service Providers
- Have N+1 redundancy on all hardware
- Have load balanced database and Web server farms
- Have hourly online backup of production system with daily backup using SAN to high-speed tape system

An initial installation of the iShip System is completed at an agreed upon location.
Windows computer with at least a 300 Mhz Processor and 256 MB of RAM
A minimum of 60 MB of free hard-drive space
Windows XP or 2000 operating system
Internet connection with Internet Explorer 6.0 (Service Pack 1 is required)
Firewall and PC restrictions that allow Signed Active X controls, JavaScript and Cookies
One Free Parallel Port or two free Serial Ports for the Scale and Thermal Label Printer
- Thermal Printer: Eltron Eclipse, LP2242, LP2442, LP2642, LP2742, LP2844, and Orion, and Zebra A300
- Scale: Fairbanks 70-2453-4 and Ultegra; Mettler-Toledo 8213 Ram 25, Ram 30, and Ram 40; Mettler-Toledo PS60 and PS6L; NCI 7820; and Ohaus Scout II.
- Barcode Scanner: Power Scan or similar, capable of reading a 5" barcode
Local Network Printer for printing Reports
Minimum screen size of 800x600
